NATURAL LINES is a series of photographs that seeks to explore the graphic tension within landscapes. Photography is a two-dimensional medium, but gifted photographers compose their images in a way to give an appearance of three-dimensionality. By photographing the land from directly above, this series essentially works in reverse. A complex three dimensional landscape is flattened. Man-made structures and lines blend together with natural lines in one continuous design, but are constantly at odds. Evidence of our continued co-existence that is both omnipresent and sometimes strikingly bizarre.
